Daniel and I are ENGAGED!!!

yes, that's correct. Daniel proposed to me on the 5th June 2010 at 2pm! (a date to remember!)... I'm not going to go into how he did it, as that i believe is personal ... :) But let me tell you it was the best day of my life so far. I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with him. Love truely is sweet... He is the sweetest person I have ever known. He is kind, loving, and everything about him is perfect. We have been together almost 5 years now.. and he is the best friend, Fiance.. Companion i could have ever dreamed of having. So for everything you do Daniel, thank you. Nothing goes unnoticed. I love you.

And on a less personal note... heres a catch up on what i've been getting up too:

Laura Ashley work is going Fantabulously! Everyone there is extremely kind and it really is a pleasure to go to work everyday. I'm very lucky as not everyone feels that way about work.

Secondly... I had a message on my blackberry the other day that read... (ahem...)

"Kathleen Sleight,

Your record indicates that you intend to complete an Honours programme. I am pleased to confirm that you have now met the academic criteria for admission... (blady blahh...) Congratulations on your admission to Honours, and best wishes for success in the coming academic year.

Student programmes."

Yipee!! All of that hard work... and dare i say 'stressful' times have all paid off. I'm so happy about this, it really does show you that no matter what you think... you may surprise yourself.

So this Sunday I'm going home to spend time with my family and Daniel and some of his family - Also seeing my good friends from school... Miss them all dearly so it'll be lovely to see them. Mum has got a week off with me, taking me to London shopping and for lunch aswell - can't wait to spend quality time with her. Also, hope Dad gets a day off too!! .. Let's hope!

So a little holiday will do me good. Missing my friends who have gone home... so when i come back to Stirling it wont be long before theyre back too!

The house is really good, love my room... and its starting to feel more like home. Can't wait for the lads to get back though! Missing them making me laugh all the time... !

It is currently 9.28pm... So im going to have an early night tonight and go to bed now. A young woman always needs her beauty sleep...

Good Friday

It's Good Friday today... and my God is it! The suns out, barely any clouds (don't know about the temperature yet) But it's putting me in a good mood! I love Easter time. Mostly because i love chocolate, but i love getting together with my family and just pigging out and socialising - it's the BEST!

And to make things even better! I'm going into town today to go shopping with my mum, auntie and best friend Emma :) So excited! Going to pick up some reading material from L.A before i start there! (Geek... YES)lol.

Maybe i'll pick myself up an easter egg.. or two... or three!! hehe I'll post pictures of anything that i buy okay?! (hopefully a dress and shoes! got a wedding and a birthday party to go to... HAVE to look nice!)

Things are looking up!

Yes, it's true.

I got the Job at LAURA ASHLEY! I can't believe it! I'm so happy it's so unreal! I start after the Easter holidays so I'm really looking forward to that! :) My Mum LOVES Laura Ashley so will have to take her in!

However, there has been bad news today - my train to Newcastle was cancelled for bad weather conditions (i.e. Snow blizzards caused landslides!) So yeah, something that i couldn't avoid really! So that part of my holiday has been ruined. So Mum and Dad are the best - They're on their way up to Scotland to get me! We're going to stay at my auntie and uncles for a night and then come back down to London to finish off my holiday!!

Which i will then have a Wedding and my boyfriends 21'st Birthday party to go to... :) So things are definitely looking up!!

What's everyone else up to this Easter? Make sure you eat lots of chocolate eggs! - it's a MUST!!

P.S: Had a chat with my friend Emma today, like a proper chat... The ones you don't do very often but when you do - theyre amazing and you just want to talk forever... Makes you feel like you've known each other years... Well that's what happened. And im happier for it. She's such a great friend.

One of those days...

Tonight i feel like this ^... and probably look like this too. And as you can probably guess, a great deal of my upset is to do with my Uni work... It's hanging over me like a cloud over Eeyore...

I miss home, Miss my family, Miss my boyfriend, and miss one of my best friends. I know everyone has nights like this, and so the way i intend to tackle it, is with vast amounts of chocolate and F.R.I.E.N.D.S... They always cheer me up...

It's easy when you're not in an upset state, to tell someone how things are okay, and how wonderful they are - but its so hard for the victim to see it themselves... we're blinded by this film of sadness in front of our eyes that seems to rotate and appear every so often, as if spinning like the Earth...

But i guess when you look at it that way - the world still carries on even though you're unhappy... so you have to try and get out of the sadness and start spinning with the world again. Like it should be.

I want to say one more thing before i go... I just spoke to my Mum on the phone, and it made me realise how much she is there for me, and that nomatter what I do (good or bad) she will always be there for me and be proud of me... Love my Mum more than anything. Mum's are innate Best Friends and are there to take care of you, and my mums doing an exceptional job. <3

Well... I'm going to try and do some work before I climb into bed.

Study Day...

With F.R.I.E.N.D.S!

I feel pretty motivated today to do some work, so we shall see how that goes! But one thing i know for sure is that I have to watch friends as i work - it's tradition!

MORE good news! I'm having Pizza tonight - I've not had pizza in at least 6 months so it'll be a treat!!! :)

Haven't heard from the job i applied for yet, but they said it'll be either Thursday or Friday, so here's hoping that i get it!

MORE NEWS! Tomorrow, i go to NEWCASTLE!! So so excited that it's probably not healthy! but who cares! My cousin Julie is cooking me mexican food so im really excited for that! And we're going shopping to the metro centre (I know i've already told you this but im way too excited - Just humour me!) I shall post photos of anything i buy!!

Well anyway, Off I go to study... Have a great day everyone, and maybe I will post a blog later as an update!

Wake up and taste the chocolate!

Right, it has definitely come to the point where i need to start studying and stop procrastinating! I definitely do not find the modules easy that i am studying... And maybe thats why im procrastinating - but I need to stop hiding from it! (Like the wee lady in the photo!)

...

I have come to the conclusion that if i keep sticking to my deadlines, as i appear to be, and revise at least 3 hours a day - i should get there! I know i tend to work well under pressure, but i don't want to put too much pressure on myself during exam time when i could have revised before! I know... This is the same story for everyone! But i need to get my act together - starting NOW!

So the new phrase is...

The way I see it, is that life is short. Enjoy it, try your best. But don't force yourself to do things that aren't agreeing with you emotionally - otherwise it is counter productive.

work when you want to work, and have fun when you want to have fun... Things will work out - as long as you are aware of deadlines... and not oblivious (Again like the wee lady in the picture!)

Be happy everyone - only good things can come out of hard work...

So much to look forward to...!

I'm so happy :)! ... So happy i thought you should see for yourself!...

I'm in such a good mood it's unsettling! I just had my Job interview that i previously spoke about - and it went really well. Even if I don't get it, i shall be proud of what I have achieved!

And... I can tell you are wondering what the picture is all about...

Well ... I'm going to NEWCASTLE! To visit my cousin Julie! I haven't seen her in almost a year so it'll be great to spend some time with her! she's taking me shopping to the Metro centre which is apparently AMAZING (for want of a better word!) ... and... believe it or not ... has RIDES in it! As in... things you would find at thorpe park kinda rides!! How mad is that?

And!!! ... Man this is just getting better and better!!!....

Daniel's (my boyfriend) family have officially arrived in the UK for their visit! I haven't seen them in around... 31/2 years! they moved to NewZealand you see!

Hopefully I am spreading this happiness around and that EVERYONE will be happy today!!!

Hopefully all will go well, as I am in need of a job and it would be massively rewarding for me as it is a company that I am extremely interested in. :) So wish me luck...

Beautiful Day

Good Morning happy Bloggers!

How is everyone today? I'm not feeling so good - however the sun is shining so that at least puts me in a better mood. Wish i could actually be on a beach today, just laying there... Thinking of nothing... Wouldn't that just be bliss?

Not only that!... But me and my flatmates now have somewhere to live for next year! It's a beautiful 5 bedroom house that we are sharing with two other guys from the University, they are really nice and we get along well! Looking forward to building new memories together!!

And yes... I do have loads of work to be doing... But theres always something better to be doing isn't there... You can never just sit down and really WANT to do the work...

Right, it's time for me to get breakfast and get this day started well! Hope everyone has a wonderful day and I will be blogging very soon!

Friends

Yesterday, I realised the importance of friends.

Yes... It was last night and actually thoughout the day that i realised how important each and every one of my friends are to me. It's crazy that things that should be innate to you, may not actually be - and yesterday I realised it.

So here is me telling all of my friends that I do not take any one of you for granted. You are all extremely special to me and I wouldn't change you all for the world. Even though some of my best friends are far away... and one being in Australia, its comforting to know that they will always be there.

"Anyone can stand by you when you're right, but a real friend will stand by you even when you're wrong."

So look after your friends... They are precious.
